I T F TAEKWON-DO
Taekwon-DO is a Korean Martial Art. GENERAL CHOI HONG HI is the father & founder of Taekwon-DO. On April 11,1955 General Choi's Taekwon-DO as an integral part of their soldiers military training. The next several years saw the exponential growth of I T F TAEKWON-DO. General choi has been especially interested in promoting Taekwon-DO as a world wide non political organisation and Martial art, ITF TAEKWON-DO is not just a sport ,It emphasis on promoting a healthier body and our mind.
MEANING OF TAEKWON-DO
'TAE 'Stands for jumping or flying, to kick or smash with the foot.' 'Kwon' denotes the fist chiefly to punch or destroy with hand or fist. Do means an Art or Way.
Taekwon-DO indicates the mental training and techniques of unarmed combat for self defence as well as health, involving the skilled applications of punches, kicks & blocks. Taekwon-DO technical efficiency as well as the overall fitness developed the students.
