BDS Wing Tsjun International

Boehlig Defense Systems was founded in July of 2005 (then called “Wing Tsjun International") by Wing Tsjun Grandmasters Thommy Luke Boehlig and Allan W. Fong.

Originally Wing Tsjun International was created to become the prominent international Organisation for the sacred Chinese art of Fighting, Wing Tsjun. As the company continues to grow, we have begun to integrate many more branches to the tree from which we build our concept; we are continually adapting ourselves to the new disciplines as our company continues to grow.

In 2007, Sifu Allan Fong officially handed the company over to Sifu Boehlig, who created the company Boehlig Defense Systems (BDS) in order to incorporate the many new directions his company was now taking.

Following the mission statement of the organization, the branches of Boehlig Defense Systems comprise of those disciplines, which incorporate fitness, utilize self-defense, and increase the student’s self-confidence.

Why Wing Tsjun?

Wing Tsjun is known to be the most scientific martial art as it incorporated with the body mechanics and Kinesiology. The same has no age bar, no gender bias and is beyond physical strength and flexibility.

It is a style of kung fu that emphasises close quarter combat, quick punches and tight defense to overcome opponents. This traditional Chinese martial art destabilises opponents with quick footwork, defense and offense happening simultaneously, and redirecting the opponent's energy to your advantage. This is a complex kung fu method that requires years of practice to master, but beginners can easily start learning Wing Chun by understanding its principles, theories and basic skills.

Who can do Wing Tsjun?

The answer is – "anyone"; no matter his/her age, gender, fitness level and previous experience in any martial arts. It is a wonderful combat art that employs redirected or deflected force of the opponent and body's own mechanics. Physical strength or stamina are not a matter in Wing Tsjun training as it requires the least stamina and muscle endurance . So it is the best choice for those who are getting old and physically weak. At the same time young, strong and skilled persons can have the chance to heighten their martial abilities to its peak.
